Yesterdays it was monday again..
And i am starting to recover from that horror. Something that has helped me in this recovery is the fact that today we shall all go out to the clear-cuts in the forest and be Awesome.
Its about a 1-1.5 kilometers (bit less than a mile) walk out there, so im thinking we carry 20 kilos worth of water out there for warmup (in an oil drum, we are not some sort of mutant sponge-people).
As we reach our workout spot we will use those very oil-drums for loading-excercises on a rock, about 140Cm high. (55″) We then proceed with some jumps onto the lower part of that rock. For the sake of not getting locked in with one single movement we will probably jump around to other rocks, maybe do some assisted highjumps (hands on higher part of rock rock, jump to position with feet between hands).
Then when the major endurance-like stuff is out of the way we go on to handstands/walks for balance and general-purpose body strength, this will be followed by chucking around large rocks for shoulders, tri’s and core-strength. Depending on what stuff is lying around there might also be some trees thrown around, some moves busted, some senseless&erratic running and of course the walk home with the oil-drums and then some tire-flips.
But, as a famous Generalfeldmarschall once said, (wow, thats and awesome title..) no plan ever survives first contact.
I mean, he didnt actually say it in those words, but that was the general idea he was trying to communicate. Also it would have been way to wordy to put up the original quote, which is, bye the way, actually just a translation! So.. Just Saying.
